Decks & Fences
LA decks see a lot of sun. Pick the wrong product and you're refinishing every other summer. We use weather-rated stains and finishes that actually last.
Wood movement, UV, and salt air are the three things that kill exterior wood finishes. We pick the product and the prep to match — semi-transparent stain for new wood that should breathe, solid color for old wood that needs to be sealed.

Frequently asked.
- Stain or paint — which is better?
- Stain on newer wood that still looks good. Solid color on older wood that's been painted before or is past staining.
- How often will I need to redo it?
- Quality stain on a deck: every 2–3 years. Solid color on a fence: every 5–7. Sun exposure is the biggest variable.
- Pet- and kid-safe?
- We use water-based, low-VOC products by default. Safe to use 24 hours after the final coat.
